A repoussé quarter/hour repeating German coach clock with quarter repeating mechanism and alarm, circa 1750. Silver case, repoussé case, depiction of a noble couple reading a book and playing music on the back side, border with chased foliate decor, rear bell, string for repetition, large lateral hinge. Enamel dial, radial Roman hours, central alarm hand, opened Breguet hands. Full plate movement, gilt, signed, chain/fusee, baluster-shaped movement pillars, three florally engraved barrels for striking and alarm train, four hammers, cylinder escapement, three-arm brass balance.
