A French 18 carat gold open faced quarter repeating à toc pocket watch made by
Jean-Antoine Lépine in Paris, circa 1790. The fine gilt cylinder movement features a plain three arm balance, jewelled top pivot with a polished steel endplate and an index regulator, repeating with two hammers on the case. White enamel dial with Breguet hours, outer star minute divisions with five minute markers and quarter hour numerals, and blued steel hands. The polished case with a gilt cuvette. Dial signed Lépine, cuvette signed Lépine Invenit et fecit à Paris.
