A Swiss 14 carat gold, enamel and seed pearl-set open faced cylinder pocket watch made for the Chinese market, circa 1840. Engraved cylinder movement. White enamel with Roman hours and outer minute divisions. Case seed pearl-set, polychrome enamel scene depicting two children feeding a swan on the back over a translucent blue engine-turned ground. Dial signed, case signed and numbered. Comes with a fitted key.
