An English 20 carat gold triple-cased quarter repeating repoussé verge pocket watch, circa 1760. Gilt full plate movement, verge escapement, pierced and engraved balance cock with diamond endstone, steel hammers striking on a bell. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute track. Pierced inner case, stamped 1495 at the base of the stem, maker’s mark IR, steel bell, high relief repoussé outer case with a scene depicting classical soldiers on horseback hunting a lion, glazed gilt metal and shagreen protective case. Movement signed and numbered.
