A French gold, enamel and pearl set verge pocket watch, circa 1790. Gilt full plate movement, pierced and engraved balance bridge. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals. Case back with polychrome enamel scene depicting Venus seated in a chariot pulled by swans, both bezel set with pearls, glazed outer cover. Dial and movement signed.
