Unsigned gold half-hunting cased pendant watch
–
A rare French gold half-hunting cased Lépine repeater, Médaillon à la Breguet-Type, circa 1820. This watch features a Breguet-type 18K gold Lépine case with a sunburst effect and a coined band. The gilt movement is a very rare calibre equipped with a quarter-hour repeater, standing barrel, jewelled cylinder escapement, three-arm balance, flat balance spring, and an index regulator. An eccentric dial with a hinged face is under the engine-turned second lid, used for winding and time-setting. The eccentric enamel dial has Breguet-style radial hours, an outer minutes track, and steel hands.
