Gold quarter repeating pocket watch

A fine French 18 carat gold quarter repeating pocket watch with cylinder escapement, circa 1820. Gilt movement with cylinder escapement and three-arm copper balance, key wind, frosted, gilt, with 2 hammers / 2 gongs, going barrel, push pendant to activate quarter striking. There is a slider in the band serves as a safety device to prevent the repeater from being activated accidentally.
Encased in 18 carat gold with a polished finish and reeded band, the watch also includes a push button at 9 o’clock to open the cuvette, allowing for easy access to the inner workings of the timepiece.
White enamel dial with Arabic numerals and outer minute track, blued Breguet hands. Signed dial.
