The movement operates only for short periods and would likely benefit from servicing and an overhaul. The gilding on the plates is rather faded, with some light scuffs and scratches visible. The compass needle is slightly sticky, and the thermometer remains untested. The dial is missing its front glass, and the thermometer scales are worn and faded. There is tarnishing and scuffing on the subsidiary dials, along with the absence of the minute hand. The case shows rubbing on the edges of its engine-turned decoration, as well as light scuffs and scratches throughout.
