Swiss gold quarter repeater with chatelaine Circa 1790

A Swiss gold, pearl and diamond set quarter repeating watch with gold and enamel chatelaine, circa 1790. Gilt full plate verge movement, pendant repeating. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals. The case decorated with translucent blue enamel over a rayed engine turned ground, centered by an applied rose cut diamond set medallion, split pearl bezels. Completed by a gold chatelaine composed of two enamel and seed pearl decorated sections, one with a seated child, suspending five short chains terminating with a gold and enamel key and two similarly enameled tasseled fobs all decorated en suite. The chatelaine links composed of gold braided and openwork links, with a later fitted box.
