French gold open faced verge with chatelaine Circa 1790

A French gold, enamel and pearls set open faced watch with matching chatelaine, circa 1790. Gilt full plate verge movement, pierced and engraved balance bridge. White enamel dial, Arabic numerals. Polychrome enamel to the case back depicting the Goddess Diane with a dog in a landscape over a blue background, split pearls to both bezels. The chatelaine decorated with a lady receiving a letter from a young page on a similarly blue background. Dial and movement signed.
