A Swiss 18 carat rose gold open faced minute repeating pocket watch, circa 1895. Retailed by Bailey, Banks & Biddle Co. 18”’ Manual winding nickel lever jeweled movement, bimetallic balance, repeating on two gongs. White dial, painted Arabic numerals, gold Louis XV hands and subsidiary seconds. Minute repeating slide on right side of case, large bow at 12 o’clock, hinged cuvette, case back engraved with monogram. Case, dial, and movement signed by the maker and retailer. Accompanied by an Extract from the Archives confirming date of sale on 15 June 1897.
