An interesting gold watch with finely engraved scene on the back lid in an old sales box, made by the International Watch Company in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, circa 1895. The numbered case of this watch was crafted from 14 carat gold and has a finely engraved scene on the back representing a winegrower in the vineyards. The white enamel dial features Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and gold hands. The numbered movement is fitted with an IWC precision lever escapement and screwed gold chatons.
