A fine Swiss, 18K gold and champleve enamel pocket watch, circa 1840. The bezel is decorated with white champlevé enamel half flowers with green leaves and red dots on a black enamel ground, and the back is covered with polychrome champlevé enamel flowers and foliage on a black enamel ground. Hinged gold cuvette. Gold dial, sunburst guilloche, with radial Roman numerals around an octagonal border. Blued steel Breguet hands. A matte gilt movement, jewelled cylinder escapement, plain three-arm gilt balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Cuvette signed.
