A fine and rare Swiss 18K gold and painted-on enamel hunting cased pocket watch, circa 1840. The front cover with a finely painted enamel bouquet of flowers and fruit on a turquoise ground, royal blue champlevé enamel and engraved foliate border, the back cover with a painted enamel bouquet of flowers on a royal blue ground, white champlevé enamel foliate scroll border. White enamel dial with radial radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and black Breguet hands. A Bagnolet calibre movement chased and engraved with foliate scrolls, eight jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm brass balance, and an index regulator disc.
