A very fine Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel hunting cased pocket watch made in the style of early watches by Patek & Czapek, circa 1850. The bar movement with a cylinder escapement. White enamel dial with Roman hour numerals, outer minute divisions and moon hands. The case with translucent dark blue enamel on both sides, a reeded band and relief flowers at the rim, the front set with rose cut diamonds, and exquisite enamel work on the back, showing a pair of birds inlaid in gold, finely chased and seated on an enamelled rose branch, punched with maker’s mark BF. Case numbered.
