A Swiss 18K yellow gold keyless pocket watch made for the South American market, circa 1860. Made for Jose Luiz De Araujo Dias. A polished case and a hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with black Breguet numerals, outer minute track with red radial 25 hours, subsidiary seconds and yellow gold Breguet hands. A matte gilt movement, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, and swan neck regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
