A fine and rare Swiss 18K gold and jasper lady’s pendant watch made for the French market, circa 1850. With an 18K gold and jasper en suite chatelaine with key and seal. Accompanied by the original fitted case (distressed). A polished bezel, reeded band, the back cover set with a jasper panel, engraved border, chatelaine en suite set with jasper panels and beads, the upper panel set within a matte chased foliate surround, with a jasper-set key and three-sided seal. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and gold hands. A frosted gilt movement, bar calibre, cylinder escapement, three-arm balance, flat balance spring, and an index regulator. Cuvette signed.
