A French 18 carat yellow gold Art Deco couteau dress watch, circa 1920. A polished case back, engraved in the center, in fine cut with the cypher CJC stamped by a royal crown. The case is made by AB, probably Alexandre Brédillart, Paris. Gilded colour metallic dial, with suspended Breguet numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 and blued steel Breguet hands. A gilded brass movement, going barrel, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensated balance and blued steel flat hairspring, polished steel index regulator.
