A Swiss 18 carat gold open faced manual wound pocket watch made by Vacheron Constantin SA in Geneva, circa 1930. Retailed by J.E. Caldwell & Co. in Philadelphia, U.S.A. The movement with a lever escapement. White enamel dial with Arabic hour numerals, an outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and heavy moon hands. The plain, stamped case is monogrammed MHZ, the dedication engraving From JH and AM Connington to Hamilton Zink July 23-1930 on the back. Dial signed by the retailer, case numbered.
