Gold pair cased repeating pocket watch
–
A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold double cased pocket watch with quarter repeating mechanism, signed Zepevnick Répétition, dating from the late 19th century. The watch has two solid gold shells enclosing the movement, both polished 18 carat gold. The engine turned case has a traditional keywind system and comes with its original winding key. The silvered dial has an engine turned centre, Roman numerals for the hours, an outer minute track, and gilt Breguet style hands. A slide in the case band activates the quarter repeater. Both covers and the inner dust cover are numbered and bear the 750 gold mark. The repeating mechanism chimes the quarters on demand.
