A very large Swiss, 18K pink gold, keyless, Chronometro Gondolo pocket watch, circa 1912. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. Chronometro Gondolo-21 Lignes by Patek, Philippe & Cie., Genève, made for Gondolo & Laboriau, Relojoeiros, Rio de Janeiro in 1912 and sold on January 31st, 1914.

A solid, polished, engine-turned back. Hinged gold cuvette with manufacturer’s dedication. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with 5-minute Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds. Pink gold spade hands. A frosted gilt movement, patented bridge calibre with gold train, 19 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line moustache lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, Patek Philippe patented micrometre cam regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
