A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch from the Art Deco period, circa 1925. It has a mechanical hand wound movement with lever escapement, protected by an inner gold cuvette. The two tone silvered dial is decorated with vertical engine turned stripes and a circular grained hour ring with stylised black Arabic numerals. It has a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and blued steel spade hands. The 18 carat gold case has a hinged back with a fine engine turned pattern and a central unengraved cartouche. The Swiss origin is confirmed by the 18 carat gold hallmarks and the movement’s technical layout.

The winding mechanism and glass are missing. The case shows dents consistent with age.
