Gold lever pocket watch with chronograph

A very rare, large Swiss, 18K pink gold keyless pocket watch with a chronograph. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives. Chronometer Gondolo by Patek Philippe & Cie., Genève, made for Gondolo & Labouriau, Relojoeiros, Rio de Janeiro, in 1905, sold on December 12, 1905. A solid case, polished band and borders, engine-turned back, bolt at 1 o’clock to lock the chronograph. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and fifths of a second division, Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds. Gold spade hands.

A frosted gilt movement, gold wheel train, 23 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line moustache lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with gold temperature screws, Breguet balance spring with an outer terminal curve, Patek Philippe micrometric cam regulator patented on January 13, 1891, chronograph work set on the back, activated by a push-piece in the crown. Dial, case and movement signed.
