Gold engraved open faced cylinder watch

A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch from the second half of the 19th century. This watch has a mechanical hand wound movement with cylinder escapement and a key winding mechanism. The white enamel dial has Roman numerals, an outer minute track with Arabic five minute numerals, and blued steel filigree hands. The 18 carat gold engine turned case has a hinged back decorated with a central circular medallion featuring a finely engraved floral border around a vacant shield shaped cartouche. The case is numbered, includes an inner copper cuvette, and has a matching gold circular bow. The caseband has a dent in the middle.
