Gold open faced lever chronograph
–
A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced chronograph pocket watch with tinted enamel dial and vertical registers made by Patek Philippe in Geneva, circa 1912. The watch is equipped with a mechanical straight line lever movement. The enamel dial displays bold Roman hours, an outer minute track with Arabic five minute numerals, a subsidiary dial for the seconds at 6 o’clock, a 30 minute register at 12 and blued Breguet hands. It is housed in a smooth case with a hinged cuvette and solid back, featuring a chronograph activated by a button on the crown. The case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This watch comes with a Certificate of Origin and a Warranty, the presentation box and an Extract from the Archives. The extract confirms the production of the watch in 1912 and its subsequent sale on October 16th, 1923.

–
The use of a tinted enamel dial is a sign of quality, a tradition primarily associated with English watchmakers but also occasionally used in Switzerland. Tinted enamel refers to colouring the regular white enamel to appear more cream coloured. The watch is also in excellent condition.
–
The movement is in good working condition with all functions operating properly. The tinted enamel dial is intact and in good condition. The case is very crisp, with tight hinges. There is some light surface wear and minor scratches on the case back, which are consistent with the age of the watch.
