A fine and heavy Swiss hunting cased pocket watch “CHRONOMETER” with pivoted detent escapement, for the South American market, circa 1895.
18 carat gold, engine turned, monogrammed, à goutte case with signed gold dome. Enamel dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds and gold spade hands. Bridge movement, decorated, nickel-plated, with screwed gold chatons, pivoted detent escapement, gold screw chronometer balance and cam type fine adjusting device.
