Diamond set gold and enamel watch and key

A small Swiss cylinder in an attractive diamond set gold and enamel open face case, circa 1840. Keywind gilt bar movement with going barrel. Plain cock with polished steel regulator. Plain three-arm gilt balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Polished steel cylinder and steel escape wheel. White enamel dial with slender Roman numerals, blue steel Breguet hands. Fine gold and black enamel case, diamond-set bezels, gold and enamel trefoil bow. The centre of the back set with large diamonds in a foliate pattern, a larger diamond at its center. Wound and set through the signed gold cuvette. Matching gold key enamelled hexagonal, enamel top also set with small diamonds. Fitted Morocco covered case lined with purple velvet.
