A Swiss gilt metal and enamel and pearl open faced jump center seconds watch made for the Chinese market, circa 1850, nickel duplex escapement, balance with screwed ‘devil’ weights , free standing barrel.
White enamel dial, Roman numerals, jump centre seconds, case back with finely painted bouquet of flowers, bezels and bow set with split pearls, transparent cuvette, movement and dial signed.
