French silver watch with concealed erotic enamel scene Circa 1810

A fine and very unusual French silver open faced verge pocket watch with a concealed polychrome enamel erotic scene, circa 1810. Small eccentric white enamel dial with Breguet hours and outer minute divisions, gilt-brass dial plate with chased foliate decoration, Cupids on oval small silver panels on each side of the dial and above a circular silver panel chased with a pastoral scene of a sleeping maiden, a sheep lying at her feet, opening to disclose a painted on enamel scene depicting a maiden presenting un morceau de Choix to her little dog, gilt-brass Breguet hands. Hinged gilt-brass, full plate movement with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt-brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece. Dial and movement signed.
