A fine Swiss 18K gold and painted-on enamel pendant watch, circa 1840. Made for the Islamic market. A rococo case, chased foliate and flower bezels, the back with painted-on enamel flower bouquet within a foliate engraving and a black champlevé enamel border, pendant with three articulated links. Hinged gold cuvette with engine-turned decoration. White enamel dial with radial Islamic numerals, outer minute track and gold Breguet hands. A frosted gilt movement, Lepine calibre, cylinder escapement with steel escape wheel, three-arm balance, flat balance spring, and an index regulator. Case signed cuvette signed Breguet.
