A fine Swiss 18 Carat gold quarter repeating pocket watch, circa 1850. A polished bezel, coin-edge band, the back engraved with asymmetrical flowers and foliage against an engine-turned ground. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with the technical details.  White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and blued steel lozenge hands.
A matte gilt movement, ten jewels, jewelled lateral lever escapement, three-arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band.
