Gold enamelled duplex with center seconds

A very fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced center seconds duplex pocket watch made for the Chinese market by Vaucher in Fleurier, circa 1825. Partly skeletonized, polished steel movement with a standing barrel, plain steel flat balance with blued spring and an index regulator, key wound and set through the hinged and glazed cuvette.
White enamel dial with Roman hour numerals, an outer minute and fifth of a second track, outermost fifteen minutes and blued steel hands. The case back with a finely painted enamel floral bouquet on a translucent green guilloché reserve, the bezels, pendant and bow cloisonné enamelled with scrolls and flowerheads. Accompanied by a later fitted presentation box and gilt key.
