Swiss gold and enamel watch with matching chain Circa 1850

Gold watch with jewelled cylinder escapement

A very fine Swiss, 18K gold and blue and black enamel pocket watch, circa 1850. Accompanied by a matching gold and black enamel chain. A polished bezel, the back cover with black and blue floral pattern enamel centred by five diamonds in floral shape, the outer border with engraved floral pattern. Hinged gold cuvette. Enamel dial, radial Roman numerals, outer dot minute divisions. Pink gold fancy hands. A matte gilt movement, jewelled cylinder escapement, plain three arm gilt balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Cuvette signed.
