A fine Geneva hunting cased pocket watch produced for Welsh & Bro., Baltimore MD, circa 1905. This pocket watch with a 14k rose gold case features a tiered, engine-turned design. The case has an engraved cartouche with a monogram and a beautifully engraved floral band. The movement is visible through the glazed case. The enamel dial displays Arabic numerals, an auxiliary seconds sub-dial, and elegant Louis XV hands. The bridge movement is rhodium-plated and adorned with fausses côtes decoration. It is adjusted and includes a gold-changed minute wheel, wolfteeth winding wheels, a gold screw compensation balance, and a patented fine adjusting device known as Patent Jan 8, 1884. The watch also has a counterpoised lever for enhanced performance.
