Gold full hunter repeating chronograph

A fine and rare Swiss 18 carat yellow gold hunting cased repeating chronograph pocket watch, retailed by Invicta, circa 1900-1910. This exceptional piece features a pendant wind mechanical movement with a column wheel chronograph mechanism, a Breguet balance spring, a lever escapement, and a striking on demand repeating function, all fitted with a dust cover. The white enamel dial displays painted Arabic numerals for the hours and chronograph seconds, with a large blued steel central seconds hand, and a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock. The glass and one hand are absent. The round 18 carat yellow gold case is of substantial proportions. The inner case is in 18 carat yellow gold, signed Invicta, and fitted with a gilt metal clasp. The overall weight is 119.70 g. reflects the considerable gold content of both the outer and inner cases.
