A Swiss yellow gold open faced keyless watch with a mother-of-pearl dial, circa 1924. This watch features a gilt cal. 17″” mechanical, jewelled lever movement. It has a mother-of-pearl dial with Breguet style numeral hour markers, an outer minute track, and Breguet style hands. The polished 18k yellow gold case includes a gold cuvette and a hinged case back, which is engraved with the monogram BCF. The case, dial, and movement are all signed. It comes with a Patek Philippe Certificate d’Origine and a presentation box. Additionally, it is accompanied by the Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives, confirming that the watch was produced in 1924 and subsequently sold on August 4, 1926.
–
The watch is an early example of Patek Philippe’s open face design. It features a mother-of-pearl dial, along with Breguet numerals and hands, making it a highly distinctive variant of a time only dress watch. The dial not only enhances the watch’s aesthetics but also gives it a unique appearance.

The movement is currently in working condition. The mother-of-pearl dial is in good shape and intact, although the indexes and hands show some signs of wear and oxidation. The case exhibits light wear that is consistent with the watch’s age. The case back has very tight hinges and also shows light wear. Overall, the watch is in very good condition for its age.
