Gold open faced lever pocket watch

A very fine Swiss 18 carat pink gold open faced five minute repeating keyless pocket watch with split seconds chronograph made by Patek Philippe in Geneva, circa 1892. Retailed and cased by Tiffany & Co in New York, U.S.A. Accompanied by an Extract from the Archives. The plain case with a polished hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with black Breguet hour numerals, an outer minute track with fifth of a second divisions and red Arabic five minute markers, and blued steel spade hands. The nickel ½ plate movement with Geneva striping decoration, 28 jewels, a straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance and Breguet balance spring, a split seconds mechanism under the dial, repeating on gongs by activating slide on the band. Dial, case and movement signed.
