–
A distinguished and extremely rare Geneva minute repeating hunting cased pocket watch with chronograph, circa 1903. Accompanied by a brown leather Patek Philippe presentation box.
The 18-carat gold case is exquisitely decorated with an engine-turned pattern and translucent blue and red enamel monogram PEN. The chronograph is activated through a pusher in the case band, the repeater is released by a slide. The signed white enamel dial has Breguet numerals, outer minutes track with red five minutes numerals, subsidiary dial for the seconds, centre chronograph hand, and blued spade hands. And the rhodium-plated bridge movement features Geneva Stripes decoration, two very finely polished hammers, gold screw compensation balance, and gongs as well as cut and bevelled steel chronograph parts.
