Yellow gold repeating watch by Patek Philippe & Co.

A Swiss, yellow gold minute repeating hunting cased pocket watch, circa 1903. Retailed by Spaulding & Co. The nickel finished 18″”  ligne movement features 31 jewels, lever escapement, wolf’s tooth winding, and a bimetallic compensation balance. It has a white enamel dial adorned with Dauphine numerals, outer minutes track with red Arabic five minutes numerals, and a subsidiary dial for seconds, complemented by Louis XV style hands. The 18k yellow gold monogrammed bassine style hunting case has a hinged back. The gold cuvette is personally inscribed with Clifton M. Warner in appreciation of his kindness to Mrs. Kate M. Bishop. Both the case and the movement are signed by the maker and retailer, while the dial is signed by the retailer.

Included with the watch is a Spaulding & Co. presentation box, a Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin, an Extract from the Archives confirming the date of sale on April 29, 1907, and an unsigned chain with a pocket watch knife.

The case is in generally good condition, with some surface wear throughout and evidence of previous polishing. The monogram on the front is slightly worn. The dial is in very good condition, showing no visible hairlines on the enamel. The minute repeater function is working, and the movement is running smoothly.
