A Swiss gold gentleman’s extremely rare, fine Geneva minute repeating pocket watch with split seconds chronograph, produced in the highest Patek Philippe quality standard “special”, circa 1904.
18k gold case, polished, gold dome with dedication engraving: “Vernon B. Miller, Nov. 8th 1904”, pusher for chronograph at “11”, slide for repeating mechanism. Enamel dial, Breguet numerals, auxiliary seconds, signed, 60 min. counter, gold Louis XV hands. Patented brigde movement “Special”, ébauche “L.E. Piguet”, nickel plated, ground, very finely ground bevelled chronograph steel parts, ratchet wheel, 2 hammers, 2 gongs, wolfteeth winding wheels, gold screw compensation balance, counter poised lever, index spring fine adjusting device.
