A Swiss 18K gold and enamel lady’s keyless pendant watch, circa 1895. Attributed to LeCoultre, Swiss. The bezel is decorated with black and white champlevé enamel and gold scrolls, and the back cover with a painted-on enamel monogram MD on a mauve ground within a gold and translucent blue enamel border, outer border to match the bezel. Hinged gold cuvette engraved Marie Desquartier, 1ere Janvier 1895. White enamel dial with radial blue Arabic numerals within gold paillon cartouches, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds and gold Louis XV hands. A matte gilt movement, 17 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blues steel flat balance spring, and an index regulator.
