A fine, early Swiss 18 carat gold open faced chronograph pocket watch with date, circa 1867. Gold cuvette. Gilt, frosted bridge movement, blued screws, finely matted, bevelled steel chronograph parts, ratchet wheel, wolfteeth winding wheels, gold screwed compensation balance, blued balance spring, counterpoised lever, ruby endstone on lever and escape wheel. White enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, sunken auxiliary seconds, sunken date indication, blued Breguet hands. Engine turned à goutte case, monogrammed, reeded band. Cuvette signed.
