A fine French, thin, 18 Carat gold, quarter repeating, half skeletonized pocket watch, circa 1820. The back is engraved with an altar of love, engine turned border, fluted band. Spring loaded gilt rimmed cuvette. White enamel, annular dial with Arabic hour numerals and outer minute track, center disclosing the repeating work. Blued steel Breguet. Gilt brass movement, skeletonized and foliate engraved, going barrel, cylinder escapement with steel escape wheel, plain steel three arm balance with flat balance spring, index regulator, repeating on steel gongs with visibly shaped hammers activated by depressing the pendant.
