Gold dress watch with two-tone dial

A very fine and rare Swiss, 18 Carat yellow gold, keyless, slim, minute repeating dress watch, circa 1940. With a chronograph, progressive 30-minute register and two-tone dial.
A variée polished and brushed case with inclined bezel and rounded band, co axial button in the crown for the start/stop and return-to-zero functions of the chronograph.

Two-tone gold dial with applied yellow gold baton indexes and Roman quarter-hour numerals, outer minute and seconds track and fifth of a second timing scale with Arabic five-second numerals, subsidiary dials for the seconds and 30-minute register. Gold epee hands. A rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 36 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band, chronograph with visible work. Dial, case and movement signed.
