A very fine, keyless Swiss 18K pink gold Chronometro Gondolo pocket watch, circa 1912. Made for Gondolo & Labouriau, Relojoeiros, Rio de Janeiro, in 1912, sold on January 31, 1913. Backside engine turned and polished hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with five minute Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds. Pink gold spade hands. Frosted gilt movement, patented bridge calibre, 21 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, gold train, straight-line lever escapement à moustache, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, Wilmot’s patented micrometre cam regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.
