A fine Swiss 18k gold hunting cased keyless lever watch with triple calendar and moon phases, circa 1860, gilt lever movement, cut bimetallic balance, regulator index, signed Louis Audemars Brassus (Suisse),gold cuvett White enamel dial, Roman numerals, outer track for the minute indication, subsidiary dials for the days of the week, date, month with seconds, aperture for moon phases, gold case with engine-turned front and back, plain band, a cartouche with initial on one side, cuvette and movement signed, casemaker’s mark.

Audemars Piguet is a Swiss manufacturer of mechanical watches founded in 1875. Audemars Piguet began in the Vallée de Joux. Jules Louis Audemars formed a partnership with Edward Auguste Piguet. Both were previously watchmakers. Audemars created complicated blank watch movements for other manufactures to use. Piguet specialized in the final regulation of watches.They the split responsibilities when they began their own company. Audemars was in charge of production and technical aspects while Piguet focused on sales and management. One of their first achievements was creating the first repeater wristwatch in 1892.
