Gunmetal eight day going lever watch
–
An interesting eight day going pocket watch with an adjustable day counter made in Switzerland, circa 1900. This watch features a gunmetal case. The white enamel dial has bold Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, an unusual seven day counter at 12 and steel spade hands. When the watch is fully wound, the day counter should be set manually to display the correct power reserve. The eight day movement, according to the Hebdomas patent, features a lever escapement.
