Gold and enamel hunting cased watch by Patek Philippe & Co.
–
A Swiss gold and enamel lady’s hunting cased keyless lever watch with a matching brooch, circa 1867. The movement is frosted and gilded, with a cylinder escapement, wolf’s tooth winding, and a plain three-arm balance. The watch has a white enamel dial with Roman numerals, an outer minute ring, and blued steel moon hands. The 18K gold case has a stippled finish and features a polychrome enamel painted posy of flowers on the cover. The case back is monogrammed and surrounded by a polychrome enamel painted spray of flowers, including forget-me-nots, pansies, morning glory, and roses. The plain polished gold cuvette is signed and numbered Patek Philippe & Co., Genève, with the case back and front cover, also numbered 32524 and 24, respectively. Additionally, there is an unsigned gold and polychrome enamel painted brooch, decorated en suite with the watch.

The movement does not run, but when a little force is applied to the train, the watch briefly runs. There is tarnishing on the plates. The dial is in good condition, and the case and brooch are generally in good overall condition. There are minor depressions and small scratches on the case, as well as a few minor scratches on the enamel decoration. The monogrammed cartouche has light scuffs, and the monogram appears to read F.P. The brooch is not mentioned on the Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives.
