Open faced keyless lever watch by Vacheron Constantin

A Swiss platinum, onyx and emerald set open faced pocket watch, retailed by Mauboussin, circa 1925. The watch features a mechanical lever movement with 18 jewels. It has a silvered dial with Arabic radial hours, an inner railway minute track with Arabic five minute numerals, and blued Breguet style hands. The case is made of platinum and onyx, with a cabochon emerald set case band and crown. The dial is signed by the retailer, and the movement is signed by the maker.

The case is in overall very good condition, showing surface wear and scuffs typical for its age. The onyx case remains intact. The platinum bezel exhibits surface wear and light scratches. The cabochon emeralds are intact, though some have cracks, chips, and wear. There is a light patina on the platinum areas. The dial shows surface wear and spots throughout, with light dust present and subtle pitting at the centre arbour. The movement displays some visible patina and is running.
