Rock crystal, platinum and diamond set watch

A fine and rare Swiss/French rock crystal, platinum and diamond set open faced keyless pocket watch made by Cartier in Paris and the European Watch and Clock Co. in Le Sentier, circa 1925. The watch features a nickel lever movement with 19 jewels. Its silvered, engine turned dial is adorned with a minute track with triangular five minute indexes, skeletonized, diamond set Roman hour numerals and elegant blued Breguet hands. The faceted rock crystal case is complemented by a platinum band, pendant and diamond set bow. and a skeletonised back hand stamped with Roman numbers. The dial is signed Cartier, while the movement is marked European Watch and Clock Co., the case is numbered and the bow hand stamped with Cartier numbers.
